How Your Donation Helps
Zero Financial Burden for Care
Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food—so they can focus on helping their children live.
Increasing Survival Rates
When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was considered incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate from 20% to more than 80%.
Helping Children Worldwide
St. Jude cares for some of the world's sickest children regardless of their race, ethnicity, beliefs, or ability to pay.
We make an impact: DIAMOND BOX Research & Care Center
A six-story tower in the heart of the St. Jude campus that is ushering in a new era of research, education, collaboration, care and treatment for the kids at St. Jude.
Meet Maelin-Kate
In 2017, a scheduled orthopedic surgery resulted in a diagnosis of a very rare blood disease, Fanconi anemia, for Maelin-Kate. People with Fanconi anemia do not produce healthy bone marrow–so they don’t produce healthy blood. Untreated, this genetic disease can cause leukemia.
At St Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, Maelin-Kate underwent chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. Quickly, her care team came to feel like family. “She knew her doctors and nurses loved her,” says her mom.
“She knew that they wanted the best for her.” Today, Maelin-Kate is doing great. “She’s just super joyful,’ says her mom. “Every day, she finds a reason why it’s the best day ever. She makes everybody smile every day, because she loves everything about life.”
